BEAUTY fanatics in the UK are turning to expensive, semi-permanent lash treatments instead of mascara.
Despite being a make-up bag staple, women across Britain are trading in their trusty mascaras for semi-permanent lash treatments such as LVL, lash extensions and tinting, according to The Eyelash Emporium.
According to a report shared by The Business of Fashion, cosmetic brands across the country are ceasing to produce new mascara products due to the rise in alternative lash treatments.
Although these lash treatments are usually more expensive than mascara, not only can they last for several weeks, they are also reducing the amount of time women spend on getting ready each morning.
The Eyelash Emporium promote different lash options – the ‘GDL Lash Lift’ which helps to straighten lashes at the root, for that wide and bright eye look, while the dark tint offers a semi-permanent alternative to dark mascaras - but will set you back at least £25.
They also promote Classic or Russian Volume Lash Extensions that give you that glam-lash feel for between 3-4 weeks, cutting down your getting ready time whilst keeping your lashes camera-ready - but also could set your savings back big-time.
