This is how many times you should use a disposable razor before binning it

WE can all agree shaving your legs is one of life's most tedious chores.

Secondary only to buying razors, that is. Which is why so many of us put it off for weeks on end, before opting for whatever disposable thing is on offer in Superdrug.

Because while we all know we should be replacing them every so often, we generally wait until they are effectively unusable before investing in something new.

What's worse, not only do old razors do a shoddy job of shaving your legs, the build-up of bacteria from being left in the shower puts you more at risk of infection.

So those sticky plastic holders that come with the fancier blades? Those are worth hanging on to and placing on your bathroom wall.

Dermatologist Dr Whitney Bowe told : "The first sign of any rusting or dulling of the blade, or any tugging or nicking of the skin, should tell you it's time to toss it."

Go on, doctor's orders.
