Meghan Markle can’t stop wearing this style of dress because it’s ‘sexy’ (but The Queen approves)

The Duchess of Sussex, 36, seems to be developing a signature style when it comes to her fashion choices

SHE’S only been in the royal family a few months but Meghan Markle has certainly developed her signature style.

The Duchess of Sussex, 36, can’t stop wearing a particular style of dress as it is a “little sexy” – but thankfully it has the Queen’s seal of approval.

The secret to her nailing her public appearance outfits is down to her love of boat (also known as bateau) necklines.

From the moment she captured the nation with her show-stopping Givenchy wedding dress on May 19, she has demonstrated her love of the sweeping neckline style.

Over the past few weeks she has proved she is well and truly adopting the look as her trademark, stepping out in numerous outfits featuring the cut.

Stylist Lucas Armitage told : "The boat neck is an often overlooked neckline in fashion, it’s safe to say it’s not one overlooked by Meghan.

"I think it’s her way of respecting royal tradition but wanting to appear slightly uncovered and still a little sexy.

“Royal protocol means necklines must be quite covered so a boat neckline is a clever way of being revealing but not actually showing any cleavage or arms."

She also donned the look in an olive green Ralph Lauren gown for Prince Louis’ christening, and during her recent Dublin tour, opted for a Roland Mouret number.

And who could forget that pale pink Prada dress she wore at the Young Leaders reception at Buckingham Palace at the end of last month.

Meghan also captured the crowds when she wore the neckline on a black Dior dress at the thanksgiving ceremony for the RAF at Westminster Abbey.

And the former Suits actress also stunned in that eye-catching yellow Brandon Maxwell for the "Your Commonwealth" Youth Challenge Reception in London's Marlborough House.

Who knows when she will wear the style again. We have a feeling it’ll be very soon…

Prince Harry and Meghan WON’T have a big family and here’s the reason why.

Meghan wore £23,000 worth of designer clothes in 24 hours while on royal visit to Ireland.

And the star will never wear this fashion item… because the Queen hates it.
