COMMUTERS are being encouraged to run and cycle to work this month for Red Bull’s Million Mile Commute.
By logging miles on route-tracking app Strava you can pick up prizes.
As many as 89 per cent of employees who cycle to work said they felt more energised throughout the day.

Electric bike
- From £1,695, 50cycles —
Yes, it sounds lazy but, if you want to get to work without looking all sweaty, an e-bike is a great option.
I tried the Beat Bike i7 which has a 250-watt motor and it can cover 125 miles before charging.
Navigation
- £198, mio —
If you are not used to cycling or running to work, you may end up taking a completely different route to the one you would drive.
Mio’s Cyclo 210 Cycling Navigation System includes cycle paths to help prevent you getting lost.
It is waterproof and gives three different routes based on time, distance or destination, but I found the GPS dropped out in built-up areas.
Helmet
- £79.99, halfords —
The Livall BH51T Urban bluetooth-enabled smart helmet has hazard lights, a remote control to control signalling lights on the back of the helmet and a nifty safety system that will notify three contacts if there is no movement detected 30 seconds after any impact.
This is comfy, easy to use and great fun. Great gift for anyone who is into their cycling.

Budget
- St. Moriz, Tan Remover, £9.99, 200ml, Superdrug —
A moisture-rich formulation promising to gently and effectively remove self-tan. This had little to no scent and was effective after just five minutes.
Simply apply, leave and shower off using an exfoliating mitt. I was impressed.
Midi
- Bondi Sands, Self Tan Eraser, £14.99, 200ml, Boots —
Promises to effectively remove tan in five minutes without harmful ingredients or harsh exfoliation.
Effective but it has a slightly artificial smell compared to the others. I would still use it again.
Luxury
- Tan-Luxe, Glyco Water Self Tan Eraser, £22, 200ml, tan-luxe —
A self-tan remover, cleanser and skin primer in one to reveal brighter and ultra-hydrated skin.
The spray is left on for at least five minutes before showering and buffing skin.
I needed to leave on for ten minutes or more. But after, my skin was more hydrated and it has a gorgeous fruity scent, too. My favourite.
