KICKING OFF

Furious bride refuses to show the England v Sweden game at her wedding… but what would YOU do?

This bride is taking extreme measures to ensure her wedding remains a "football-free zone"

LIKE it or not, the entire country has descended into full-on World Cup madness.

And seeing as this is a once in every four years kind of occasion, it's understandable really... but one bride-to-be has lost herself some (football) fans by refusing to stream the England vs Sweden match tomorrow.

Isn't a wedding day supposed to be about the bride and not football?

Despite numerous requests to show the nail-biting 90 minute game, the bride-to-be declared on her Facebook page to declare that the match will be shown

But this isn't the only rule that's been put in place.

Hellbent on ensuring her wedding remains a "football-free zone", the bride has also banned the use of smartphones in order to prevent guests from sharing the score.

Seriously, this woman means business... she's even had "a sign made" to remind people not to discuss it.

Since being shared by a bride's Facebook friend on , her strict wedding approach has been dividing opinions with users joking that she's "going to get a lot of people calling in sick..."

Although the original poster believes "it would be a great way to break up the day" because "the atmosphere would be amazing", others sympathised with the bride because "no one really expected [England] to get this far."

One wrote: "There's no way I would have a sports match on at my wedding.

I'd quite like England to win, but it's just a game of football and its her once in a lifetime (hopefully) special event. The football will be on again in 4 years."

Another added: "if it were me I would just how it. It's only a few hours and would probably create a good atmosphere and made it memorable!"

Although it certainly would put a dampener on things if England lose...
