The former actress, 36, is no doubt aware that every look she chooses will be heavily scrutinised, and has decided to use this to good effect.

Every dress she has stepped out in has been designed by a woman, or from a fashion house with a female working as head designer.

Included in this is her show-stopping wedding dress which was designed by Givenchy’s first female artistic director, Clare Waight Keller.

For the evening event of her wedding, fans will remember that Meghan changed into a halter-neck sleeveless fishtail dress by Stella McCartney.

At the Trooping of the Colour, she stunned in a blush pink dress by Caroline Herrera – a favourite designer among royal circles.

Meghan also wore Givenchy for her first appearance at Royal Ascot

Clearly a fan of Givenchy, she has also worn the label at her first Royal Ascot, and also for her appearance in Cheshire.

And this week, the Duchess of Sussex looked impeccably stylish in a blush Prada skirt suit, for the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards at Buckingham Palace.

Prada’s head designer is Italian billionaire fashion designer and businesswoman Miuccia Bianchi Prada.
