Dubbed the ‘dad sneaker heels’ by Twitter users, the bizarre fusion has raised eyebrows across the internet.

What’s baffling about them, though, is the fact they also feature a wedge-like heel.

The shoes were revealed at Milan Men’s Fashion Week when several brave women wore them on the catwalk.

DSquared2’s creation isn’t the only ugly shoe to be given a heel recently.

Then there were rumours that Crocs in general would be making a comeback this year, with eBay reporting 25,000 searches for Crocs on its site in April.

Then just this month, American fashion brand Alfie jumped on the Crocs zeitgeist, releasing a pair of Crocs with white socks built into the shoe.

What's more, the shoes cost over £100 a pair.
