DADDIES' GIRL

£35k Rolex watches and a £27k luxury Vegas holiday… how Saffron Drewitt-Barlow spoils her two dads on Father’s Day (but she can still use Daddy’s Amex to pay for it)

HER two dads have been spoiling her for 18 years, and now Saffron Drewitt-Barlow is whisking them away on a luxury Las Vegas trip costing £27,000 for Father's Day.

The pampered Brit will be staying in one of the top suites at the 5-star Bellagio Hotel and Casino for a week, with her dads Barrie and Tony, and twin brother Aspen.

The family, who split their time between a £3 million Essex mansion and a plush pad in Tampa, Florida, will celebrate at their home in the States tomorrow - before jetting off to Vegas in two weeks' time.

In the past, Saffron has splashed out on a £35,000 Rolex for Barrie - and the dads treated themselves to rings costing hundreds of thousands of pounds, as well as a box at Man United.

Saffron first made headlines as a baby when she and her twin brother Aspen became the first kids in the UK to be born to two dads, via surrogate.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Online, she said: "Me and my brother are taking our dads to Vegas, it’s all on us two.

"It was about £27,000. We’re staying in the Bellagio, in one of the top suites.

"We’ve booked all the restaurants already - STK one night, Nobu, Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and On Top Of The World.

"The hotel itself was the most expensive. I’m paying for pretty much all of it, but it’s from Aspen too."

Saffron launched her first business Barking Mad Cosmetics 18 months ago, with a £1 million investment from her dads, while brother Aspen still lives off a £5,000-a-month allowance, and both kids have access to their dads' Amex card.

It's not just her two fathers Saffron likes to splash out on though.

She revealed: "I’ve literally just bought Aspen a new car, a Range Rover SVR. It was £160,000. The thing is Aspen’s my twin as well so we’re really close."

Suites at the Bellagio cost up to £4,705-a-night, but it's not the fancy hotel rooms which attracted Saffron.

She said: "There’s a Gucci shop, Louis Vuitton and everything all inside the actual hotel. So it’ll be like having a holiday in a mall."

Now she's promised her dads and brother a shopping spree, adding: "I can't wait to see what's there. I'm spending whatever I want, really."

Flashy Father's Day

  • £175k Harry Winston ring (now worth £350k): Another gift from Barrie to himself
  • Box at Manchester United costing up to £90k: Tony's annual gift to himself

Saffron is now planning to have a baby via surrogate, because she's "too posh to push", with boyfriend Scott.

She was considering a Brit surrogate, who's "quite well known", but Barrie says plans fell through because the star's management were worried.

He added: "We've been interviewing people recently in America, and one of the surrogates Saffron's quite interested in has done it before for a celebrity couple.

"The plan is she’s going to fly out to Vegas, and meet us there and spend a couple of days with us."

On the day itself, Barrie and Tony - who are also dads to Orlando, 13, and twin boys Jasper and Dallas, six - will be spoilt at home in Tampa, Florida.

Saffron plans to bring her parents breakfast in bed, and has booked a Brazilian restaurant near their home for dinner.

She added: "We’ll get them some gifts to unwrap on the day, definitely. Just little stockings fillers, so things from Louis Vuitton or Gucci or things like that."

Saffron, who calls Barrie 'Daddy' and Tony 'Dad', said: "Last year, I got my Daddy a Rolex. It was £35,000.

"And for my Dad, I got him some aftershave, because he doesn’t actually like all the most expensive things. The aftershaves I buy him are always £300-£500 depending on the smell.

"Now I've got my own money I can obviously do more. Before I used to use the allowance, but top it up with the Amex (from her dads' accounts).

"When we were younger Daddy would buy his own presents and say it was from us."

This year will be an extra special Father's Day for the family, as they almost lost Tony to an aggressive form of throat cancer earlier this year.

Barrie, who's been with his husband for 32 years, said: "He’s actually surprised us all, he’s really on the mend.

"We were so worried he wasn't going to make it, even after the operation his condition was worsening.

"He was considering suicide at one point, because he was in so much pain. But he really wants to fight and be around for his family.

"I can only imagine what it must be like for the younger children to watch their parent go through something so horrendous.

"That’s why it’s so much more special this year to spend Father’s Day all together, because he's alive. A couple of months ago we didn’t think we were going to get to this stage.

"This is going to be the best Father’s Day ever, and we were expecting it to be the worst Father’s Day ever.

"That's why we're celebrating so much bigger this year, because he's still here."

Although Saffron only recently started making her own money, Barrie was never embarrassed to use Father's Day as an excuse to treat himself.

He said: "I would always take Saffron out and buy something special for myself and Tony and let her wrap it up for Father’s Day.

"If I wanted something, I would buy it for myself under the false pretences that it’s from the kids. I don’t care what people think, I work hard for what I’ve got.

"Our first Father’s Day was the year when they had the Wallis Simpson auction, after she died, at Sotheby’s in New York.

"We were able to get one of her Faberge diamond and ruby rings that the king had given to her years before.

"So I ended up getting that at the auction and claiming it was my first Father’s Day present.

"I think at the time it was £110,000 but I recently had it appraised with the insurers and they’re putting about £550,000 value on it.

"Another year I got a Harry Winston ring which I wear all the time now.

"It was about £175,000 at the time but it's worth £350,000 now. But I bought that as an investment for Saffron, and she wears it as much as I do.

"Every time she goes out somewhere I’m having cold sweats thinking she’s going to drop it.

"Tony keeps a box at Manchester United so he can fly over and watch some of their games, and he’d always say that was his Father’s Day gift from everybody."

Boxes at at Old Trafford cost up to £90,000.

The family don't celebrate Mother's Day, but Saffron and Aspen do sends cards and small gifts to their surrogate, egg donor and nan.

Barrie added: "We would never change a thing, but it’s not always been a smooth ride. Me and Tony went through six failed IVF attempts before we had Aspen and Saffron.

"We never thought we were going to have kids in the first place. Every step we went down from fostering and adoption it was just a door slammed in our face all the time.

"There are hundreds of gay parents in the UK now, and whether people want to admit it or not, it’s primarily down to me and Tony.

"So there’s going to be a lot more fathers celebrating this Father’s Day, because Tony and I had the nerve and the gall to go ahead and do it.

"It was something that eventually helped thousands more people across the world, not just in the UK."

We recently revealed Saffron had been slammed by trolls over a video taken moments after getting £2,000 lip fillers.
