BONKERS nail art is back – and this time the trend has taken a hair-raising turn.

Nails with tiny combs attached that can actually brush your locks have been shared on Instagram by Russian beauty salon .

The salon posted a with nails covered in brightly-coloured combs that can glide through your hair during the day.

The sped-up tutorial shows extensions being added to each nail, before the comb “teeth” are drilled out of each nail.

When the “combs” have been created, each one is painted in a different colour to make them truly stand out.

Nail Sunny uploaded the bizarre creation online with the caption: “Brush nails - YAY OR NAY”.

The video has racked up over 212,000 views in under 24 hours and baffled nail fans have been quick to comment with their thoughts.

One said: “Omg those would totally get caught in my hair!!”

Another added: “If they get caught on something your entire nail will rip off omg.”

However some Instagram lovers praised the look for being so original.

One said: “I just love the creativity and the skills!”
