WHEN I get the chance to paint my face – or can be bothered to – I actually really enjoy it.

But, I must admit, I’m not very adventurous with make-up. I tend to stick to the same tried-and-tested products and colours, and rarely go out of my comfort zone.

My go-to is a nude matte lip, and when I say nude I mean dead-looking nude. I like my lips to be paler than my face, much to the dismay of every make-up artist I’ve ever worked with.

I love Natasha Denona products (£19 for a lipstick) and MAC’s £17.50 Modesty lippie is a creamy, balmy formula that has a pretty pink tone. My lips get really dry in the night so I always slather on By Terry lip balm. It’s £39 but it's the best lip balm ever. I use it every day so there’s hardly much left!

I like my foundation to have good coverage but not be cakey, and I always go one shade darker than my natural skin tone. I used a combination of three £24.50 MAC colours. Every day I mix Studio Fix Fluid NC20 and NC25, but if I want a tan face I add in a squirt of NC37. It contains SPF 15 and is an oil-controlling formula - perfect for keeping spots at bay.

To complete my look, I’m all about highlighter galore. When it comes to shimmering cheekbones, there’s no such thing as too much in my opinion. I like Illamasqua and NARS powders. I add a pop of blusher to my cheeks with £24 NARS Orgasm – I love it. And, I whack on a bit of £35 Chanel blusher if I want my cheeks to look peachy.

My favourite product is probably my lashes; without putting anything else on I feel like I’ve made an effort but with minimum faff. I use Doll Beauty lashes as they’re reasonably priced – about a tenner - and take you from day to night. My fellow Loose Woman Katie Price has worn them as well, plus Jennifer Hudson and Megan McKenna.

Most of the time my make-up regime consists of falsies and whacking a bit of soap on my brows. It's a cheap and effective trick to keep them in place. I brush the gel through my brows to make the hair look fluffier and fuller. My favourite is the £10 Soapbrows Kit by West Barn Co.

The lovely Penelope Jane Smith, who does my make-up for Loose Women, likes to experiment with my look. Last week she put on the glitz with lush pink Glitter Eyes shadow and famously gave me my curly ‘do that sent the internet into meltdown.

The most expensive item make-up item I’ve ever bought was a Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. I love a matte nude lip and when I saw her range I wanted to try it. What I didn’t realise, after paying £30 for the kit, you then get a lovely letter through the post letting you know your lip kit has arrived and if you want it you’ll have to pay £20 in shipping taxes! Wahoo!

After realising I wouldn’t get a refund for the postage and waiting almost five weeks to get it I begrudgingly paid! So altogether £50 a lipstick. Sigh. And, if I’m completely honest it was just a liquid lip no better than any other I’ve tried.

My cheapest make-up comes from Primark. Prices start at just 60p for a glittery nail polish and it’s great to take on a night out – for that price you don’t mind if you lose it or, in my case, if your sister nicks it.

On night out, I don’t want to take my whole make-up bag, so will just pack eyelash glue - Duo is my fave - and a lippie.

My daily beauty bag is full of staples by MAC, Urban Decay, Bobbi Brown and Illamasqua. They are all quite expensive individually but are great quality and last a long enough time to warrant the price.

Last but not least, MAC’s £19 Prep & Prime Fixing Spray is a must. I spray it on every time I do my make-up so it stays put for as long as possible.
