Nadia admits she is one of the women who has cheated - and says she did it "because she could".

Opening her investigation into why women cheat on website, Nadia admitted to looking "outwards to the attention of another man" at the end of her marriage rather than examining her relationship for what it really was.

Now the self-described 'sex positive' journalist has listed the reasons why females are led astray in their romantic relationships in a blog post based on real women's experiences.

Detailing some of the normal ways relationships have broken down because woman felt "ignored", "lonely", or overlooked, Nadia has also delved into some of the more unexpected ways in which women catch a wandering eye.

One anonymous women confided that she needed "multiple sexual partners" in order to feel satisfied in a relationship.

How to spot a serial cheater

  • They have mastered the art of cheating so are harder to spot.
  • They will constantly tell you how insecure their ex was.
  • A cheater will have friends of the opposite sex.
  • If you ask them about their night out or who they were with, they'll get defensive.
  • They will tell you to get help for your insecurities in the relationship but constantly tell you how much they love you.
  • People who are unfaithful will constantly ask you why you are insecure.

Describing herself as a "chronic cheater", the anonymous person said that she was "acting on my needs for multiple sexual partners but I didn't have a model of how to do it ethically until I was in my 30s".

Now, having discovered "the polyamory model", the serial cheater says she has never betrayed another partner because they all exist within the parameters of the same romantic relationship.

In a more recognisable scenario, another woman said she cheated on her boyfriend because she was "way too young and did not know" better.

Describing her boyfriend at the time as her "best friend" and that there were "no real issues" within the relationship, the anonymous cheater said that she "needed to go out and explore myself sexually" as well as experiencing "different relationship dynamics."

She claims her other half would ignore her to play video games and got offended when she wanted to go out.

But the final nail in the coffin for their relationship came when the woman began earning more money than her bloke.

It was in this job she met the man she eventually cheated on her boyfriend with.

She says they started out as friends but when things escalated while she felt guilty, she didn't feel guilty enough to stop cheating.

A less-remorseful woman said that she cheated because she "didn't care about that person" and that she is "pretty impulsive".

Despite it being a long relationship, the woman says that "the fact that I put myself in the situation where I was able to cheat, already proved that it wasn't something I really wanted and he wasn't someone I really 'loved'."
