Remember ‘Grumpy Grace’ from William and Kate’s wedding? Now her younger cousin will be a bridesmaid for Harry and Meghan
DO you remember Grace van Cutsem, the young bridesmaid at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding, who covered her ears as the royal party waved from the balcony?
Well now Grace’s little cousin Florence, three, is to be a bridesmaid at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on Saturday.
The image of little Grace scowling on the balcony became one of the most iconic pictures from the last big Royal Wedding in 2011.
Grace, now 10, is a beauty and there’s not a trace of her former sulks in sight.
But now it’s her little cousin’s turn.
And we're all hoping she won't be a frowning Florence for the wedding photos.
Both Grace and Florence van Cutsem live largely out of the spotlight.
Florence is the godchild of Prince Harry and the daughter of friends Alice van Cutsem and Nicholas van Cutsem.
While older cousin Grace is Prince William’s goddaughter and the daughter of Hugh van Cutsem and Emilie Quarles van Ufford.
Both Nicholas and and brother Hugh have been friends with Prince William since childhood.
Also among the bridesmaids is Princess Charlotte, who has already had some practice in the role, having been a bridesmaid at auntie Pippa Middleton’s wedding last year.
Older brother Prince George will be a page boy.
Kensington Palace announced on May 16, 2018 the full list of bridesmaids and page boys.
Here's the full list of bridesmaids
- Princess Charlotte, aged 3
- Florence van Cutsem, aged 3
- Remi Litt, aged 6
- Rylan Litt, aged 7
- Ivy Mulroney, aged 4
- Zalie Warren, aged 2
We now know Prince William will be brother Harry's best man at the wedding, but will Meghan have a maid of honour?
