Glitter swimwear is the latest festival trend to hit Instagram… but would YOU be bold enough to try it?
The racy trend is proving popular for those wishing to avoid traditional swimsuits and bikinis
WE’VE had glitter boobs and glitter bum, and now there is a new dazzling trend that will set pulses racing at festivals.
The latest fad is for revellers to put sparkles over their body to resemble glitter swimwear – but you won't want to go anywhere near water for this one.
The racy trend is proving popular for those wishing to ditch traditional swimsuits and bikinis.
Instead of covering up their bodies, Instagram users have been strategically covering their modesty using rainbow-coloured glitter.
One of the retailers to help the trend take off is Go Get Glitter, who shared snaps of people debuting the look.
Their eye-popping posts include a woman with a stripy, rainbow-coloured sparkly covering, resembling a strapless swimming costume.
Meanwhile others have bandeau-style coverings, or even ones that resemble T-shirts.
The world really is your oyster!
The trend has prompted a mixed reaction from fans, with some keen to try out the daring look and others thinking it’s a step too far.
One said: “This looks so cool.”
Another commented: “So sparkly and bright.”
But one person wrote: “How can people walk around naked like that.”
Meanwhile, flower boobs are another festival trend taking off on Instagram.
And it isn't just festival-goers festively decorating their chests - the Big Brother girls last year also smeared themselves in glitter before shaking their boobs in the diary room.
Even posh Oxford University students have been getting in on the action.
