Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ultimate couple goals with secret gestures, open affection and lots of lolz
As the excitement builds up to the wedding of the year, we look at reasons why Harry and Meghan are ultimate #RelationshipGoals
THE Royal Wedding is just hours away - and we still can't get enough of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
From adorable secret gestures to the more obvious signs of their devotion, here are the reasons the lovebirds are the couple we all want to be like.
They make each other laugh
Laughter is said to be the cornerstone of every great relationship, and they do it all the time.
We've noticed how much they amuse each other when they're out and about.
Then they hit us with the outtakes of their engagement interview.
They pulled silly faces and goofed around before creasing with laughter.
They obviously share the same humour and have a riot together.
If your other half is the funniest person you know, there will never be a dull moment.
The low-key marriage proposal
Prince Harry didn't need to plan an elaborate proposal.
He could've helicoptered his bride-to-be to Paris or waited until they were on exotic hols to pop the big question.
Instead, he surprised her at home on a 'cosy night in' over a roast chicken dinner, reportedly Prince Harry's favourite meal.
Despite all his wealth, he opted for the kind of proposal that stands up in a heartfelt, quiet way.
Memorable and meaningful only for the couple tying the knot, without the need for overt public declarations of love or Royal pomp.
Well, at least until the wedding ceremony anyway...
They're secretly sentimental
At the beginning of their relationship, the couple spent long stints of time apart.
Meghan was in Canada filming Suits, and Prince Harry was tied up with Royal engagements.
So Harry picked up matching “his and hers” blue, beaded bangles during one of his trips to Africa which the pair wore for months to reinforce their bond.
Prince Harry was pictured wearing his out for the day... while Meghan can be seen wearing her identical bracelet in an Instagram post.
A few months on, Meghan kept Harry close to her heart with a simple gold letter necklace that featured the initials "M" and "H" for Meghan and Harry.
The understated but meaningful jewellery is an ultimate #RelationshipGoals piece and shows how sentimental these two are about their love.
They share things in common
When you think about these two hitting it off over common ground, it's easy to see they're both passionate about charity work.
Meghan has a long history of heading projects she feels strongly about and was an advocate for the United Nations before she met Prince Harry.
After the wedding, Meghan will join Harry, William and Kate's charity efforts with their Royal Foundation.
To add to their combined spirit of giving, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided that they don't want any wedding gifts.
Instead, they ask wellwishers to donate to seven charities they've chosen that represent a range of issues they are passionate about.
Sport for social change, women's empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness, HIV and the Armed Forces.
They're big into the PDAs
This pair are openly affectionate in public.
Up until now, we've rarely seen a Royal holding hands with, or even sharing a smooch, with their partners when they think no one is looking.
But since Day One, Harry and Meghan have sidestepped stuffy Royal protocol and hold hands wherever they go.
They are naturally affectionate towards each other, even when surrounded by cameras.
It's as if the only people that exist in the world is each other. Awww.
