WHAT'S a girl to do when her big “I do” is about to be watched by millions of people around the globe?
Call in the big guns, obviously. The moment Meghan stepped onto UK soil she sought advice from A-list skin specialist Sarah Chapman, whose client list includes Victoria Beckham, Gigi Hadid and Naomi Watts. And rumour has it Meghan’s been a repeat visitor ahead of her big day.
Sarah is the go-to woman for glowing skin (a must when you’re set to be on the cover of every magazine and newspaper) thanks to her signature facial massage.
And with her hands insured for a cool £1million, she’s the most in-demand facialist in London right now.
Super-discreet, Sarah isn’t allowed to give details of the duchess-to-be’s visits.
But here, she reveals her top bridal tips, which we’re pretty sure her most famous client has been following in the run-up to May 19.
Regular facials are key
“In the three to six months leading up to your wedding, I would recommend booking an appointment every four weeks to allow your skin to adjust and ensure significant improvement.
Professional facials will tackle any specific concerns and ensure you feel better and more gorgeous than ever.
But if your issues are severe, I’d recommend you see a facialist even more often to boost the transformation.”
Think about the photographs
And, in Meghan’s case, the tea towels, the mugs… “A course of Dermalux LED Light Therapy, £40 for 30 minutes, is a non-invasive way to fight fine lines, wrinkles and acne, as well as promoting instant radiance.
This clever technology increases cell energy and collagen production with infrared light, while antibacterial blue light helps if you’re prone to spots.
It’s a highly effective treatment to improve skin texture, which will make a huge difference in all those close-ups.”
Do a little DIY
“Use your knuckles and fingertips for an at-home facial experience or use my Facialift massage tool, designed to mimic my lifting, firming and rejuvenating signature Skinesis massage technique.
Massaging in products helps boost their performance.
The movement also stimulates lymphatic drainage on puffy faces and promotes a healthier dermis, leaving you glowing.”
Supplement your regime
“I always advise my clients to adopt a 360° approach.
"Because supplements work at a cellular level to actively strengthen, revitalise and boost skin quality, they are a daily essentia06l.
"Omegas, such as flaxseed oil, work to keep skin hydrated, moisturised and smooth, while their natural anti-inflammatory properties also help to minimise redness and speed-up recovery.
"If you suffer with breakouts, zinc and B vitamins will help support healing and ease dryness.”
Keep it clean
“Cleansing is massively underrated – after SPF, it’s the most important skincare product in your routine.
"Spending a few minutes cleansing each day can make a real difference to your skin’s clarity and luminosity.
"A good cleansing balm will unblock pores, making it easier for other products to penetrate your skin effectively, enhancing their performance.”
Last-minute fixes
“If you wake up with a skin problem on the morning of the wedding, there’s plenty you can do.
"For puffiness, I’d wrap ice in a muslin cloth and gently roll it over skin to stimulate blood flow, bringing back a glow.
"And for redness or blotchiness, the cooling effect of a mask that’s been kept in the fridge can calm skin.
"To tackle last-minute spots, I’d apply one of my SOS stickers to the blemish.
"The hygienic patch is infused with pimple-purging actives to soothe, decongest and speed up healing.”
SAY NO TO BOOZE
Despite the temptation, try not to drink alcohol the night before your wedding.
Just one glass of champagne will be dehydrating and will cause puffiness and bloating.
The best course of beauty action is to avoid alcohol for the whole week before your big day.
Can’t afford to splash out on your very own Sarah?
Try these products at home
Sarah Chapman Facialift, £28

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Probiotic Boost Skin Renewal Bio Cellulose Mask, £40 for four
Pop a mask in the fridge the night before and wear for 20 minutes while you’re styling your hair.
Probiotic ingredients help to balance your complexion, creating the perfect base for make-up. If you suffer from an inflammatory skin condition such as rosacea, it’ll also help calm any redness.
With salicylic acid to de-clog and exfoliate, vitamin C to even out skin tone and Sytenol A to calm inflammation, these significantly speed up spot recovery.
As soon as you feel a blemish erupting, pop on one of these before bed.
They’re see-through, so you can even wear one during the day when you’ve got a bad spot brewing and it will stop you picking.
