The fifth-in-line to the throne is named Louis Arthur Charles.

His name was announced on April 27, 2018.

His full title is His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

Who does he share his name with?

The young prince in fact shares one name with his older brother.

The third-in-line to the throne’s full name is George Alexander Louis.

Another famous royal, and one who is also in the family tree, is Louis Mountbatten.

His full title was Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma.

He was the son of Prince Louis of Battenberg, and was also the last viceroy of India.

The father-of-two was a British royal navy officer and statesman, achieving the rank of Admiral of the Fleet.

He was the uncle of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and second cousin once removed of Queen Elizabeth II.

He was assassinated by the IRA in 1979, aged 70, when they planted a bomb on his boat.

While Prince Louis is only fifth-in-line to the throne, that’s not to say he won’t be king one day.

The Queen famously was never destined for the throne, but was placed in direct succession when her father, King George VI, took over after his brother, King Edward VIII, abdicated.

Even with a slightly different spelling, arguably the most famous King Louie is the Walt Disney character.

Despite not being featured in the original Rudyard Kipling work, the giant orangutan became one of the best-known characters of the 1967 animated film.

One of the members of boyband One Direction, otherwise known as 1D, Louis was just a teen when he auditioned for X Factor.

He was later put into a group with four others, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, to form the super-group

 

In 2015, Zayn left the band and the group has been on permanent hiatus since 2016.

Louis went on to pursue solo projects, including releasing two singles and setting up his own record label, Triple Strings Ltd.

He became an X Factor judge in 2018.

One of the X Factor’s veteran judges, Louis Walsh, also shares his name with the young prince.

The Irishman is known for being behind some successful boybands, including Boyzone and Westlife.

He was a staple of the X Factor judging panel for a number of years.

Louis, who was born in 1901 in Louisiana and died in 1971, played the trumpet and cornet.

The four-time married musician was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame last year.

The biologist, microbiologist and chemist is famed for his breakthroughs in the fields of vaccination and pasteurisation, which is named after him.

Born in 1822 in France, he created the first vaccines for rabies and anthrax.

Passing away in 1895, the Pasteur Institute remains as one of his legacies.

The British gymnast is an Olympic medallist winning two silvers and one bronze.

The MBE specialises in the pommel horse, for which he won his medals in at the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

He also won bronze as part of the men's artistic team all-around at the 2012 London Olympics.

Another famous face on our screens is documentary maker Louis Theroux, well-known for his programmes such as Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends.

Airing from 1998-200, he later followed up that successful format with When Louis Met, until 2002.

He has also published books and produced a feature-length documentary on Scientology.
