A CHILD FOURTOLD

Will Kate Middleton and Prince William follow in the Queen’s footsteps and have a fourth baby? Here’s what royal sources are saying

THE third royal baby may have only just been born, but the question on everyone's lips already is, will they try for a fourth?

Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, welcomed their youngest son into the world on Monday, St George's Day.

The Duchess of Cambridge has a history of hyperemesis gravidarum - an extreme form of morning sickness which has plagued her in the early stages of all three pregnancies, and would put some off having another child.

But that didn't stop her trying for a third to add to her growing brood.

Princess Charlotte will turn three next week and, within a year of her birth, Kate joked she felt "broody" and would need to "have a word with William".

Will Kate, who is also mum to four-year-old Prince George, feel similarly this time around?

Some reckon the couple will follow the Queen's example and try for a fourth, in the hopes of having another little girl.

"(Wills) would love to emulate his grandmother and have four children and he would be very happy if it was another girl," one of his royal sources reportedly .

"Having Charlotte was an improving effect on George who was a bit of a tearaway in the early days, so he knows the benefit a second daughter might bring."

Another royal source echoed these sentiments to In Touch magazine, saying: “Charlotte has such a gentle and easy temperament, both (William) and Kate have wanted another daughter like her.

“Plus, William loves the idea of him and George being outnumbered by women in the family!”

While locals from Kate's hometown of Bucklebury told People magazine: "I reckon Kate will try to emulate the Queen and have four.

“Carole’s a very close grandmother, so she and Michael will be beaming from ear to ear."

But not everyone agreed. Another added: "I can’t imagine Kate will want any more given the ordeal that she goes through every pregnancy. I should think that three children is enough."

Kate herself is the oldest of three, and those in her inner circle always insisted she wouldn't stop at two.

Statistically, there could be another clue the royal couple will try for baby number four.

found that couples with two boys and one girl were the most likely to have another child.

According to these figures, there's a one in three (35 per cent) chance of Kate getting pregnant again - while parents who had two girls and one boy were only 20 per cent more likely to have a fourth child.

In more baby news, this is when we reckon the young prince's name will be announced.

While, if you fancy a flutter, these are the latest odds on the tot's name.

And this is the royal baby's title - and why he's technically a commoner.
