Who are Prince Louis’ godparents? Nicholas van Cutsem and Guy Pelly among those named as godfather
KATE Middleton and Prince William's third child Prince Louis will be christened later today.
And following their own tradition of selecting close friends for the honour of godparent, here's everything you need to know about the six that have been chosen for little Louis.
Who is Guy Pelly?
Prince William and Harry's childhood friend Guy Pelly has been named one of Prince Louis' three godfathers.
The nightclub manager is the son of Lady Carolyn Herbert who was also a close friend of the late Princess Diana.
A close friend of both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Guy Pelley has been in the Princes' lives since they were children - Harry and William even flew out to Memphis, Tennessee to attend Guy's wedding to Holiday Inn heiress Lizzy Wilson.
Most famously, Guy also dressed up in a Nazi soldier costume with Prince Harry in 2005 and now manages several London nightclubs including Royal-favourite Mahiki in Kensington as well as Public, Whisky Mist and Tonteria.
Who is Nicholas van Cutsem?
The son of Prince Charles' Cambridge University friend, Prince William has known Nicholas van Cutsem his entire life.
40-year-old Nicholas is based in London with wife Alice Hadden-Paton and daughter three-year-old Florence who was one of Harry and Meghan's bridesmaids.
A former major with the Household Cavalry’s Life Guard, Nicholas is now works as an international business developer.
With close links to the Royal Family, Nicholas is also the uncle of Grace van Cutsem who was pictured covering her ears during William and Kate's wedding in 2011.
Who is Harry Aubrey-Fletcher?
The third of Prince Louis' godfathers is Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, the son of Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.
Another long-term friend of Prince William, the two met during their prep school years in Berkshire and have remained close friends ever since.
William was an usher at Harry's wedding to Louise Stourton in 2011 while the newly-appointed godfather was also famously photographed pulling on his Royal mate's ear during the 2013 Cheltenham Festival.
Who is Lady Laura Meade?
Another close confidante of the Royal couple, Lady Laura Meade is the wife of one of Princess Charlotte's godfathers James Meade.
Before they were parents, the two couples used to regularly go on nights out together before settling down as neighbours in Norfolk.
Lady Laura's husband also gave a speech at Kate and William's 2011 wedding reception.
Who is Mrs Robert Carter?
Officially referred to by her husband's name on the Royal announcement, Hannah Carter is one of Kate Middleton's oldest and closest friends from school.
Hannah and Kate both attended private boarding school Marlborough college in Wiltshire which costs over £9,000 a term.
Who is Lucy Middleton?
Kate's cousin Lucy Middleton has also be named as one of Prince Louis' three godmothers.
While there is currently not much known about Lucy, she is expected to attend the christening later this afternoon.
Who are Prince George's and Princess Charlotte's godparents?
It's not the first time the royal family have chosen relatives to be godparents, as one of Prince George's chosen few is Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall.
Prince George also has Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Hugh Grosvenor, 7th Duke of Westminster, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, The Hon. Julia Samuel and William van Cutsem making up his seven godparents.

When was the new prince born?
On October 17, Kensington Palace confirmed on Twitter that the due date was in April 2018 and The Sun later exclusively revealed that the baby could arrive on St George's Day April 23 - and were proved right.
The Duchess was whisked off to St Mary's Hospital on Monday morning in the early stages of labour.
She later gave birth and went home with her new son in the evening.
Kensington Palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
“The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
“The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
They announced his name was Prince Louis Arthur Charles on Friday April 27.
