What do the royal wedding invitations look like and what gifts have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked for?
The royal wedding is only a month away, so the guests have received their invitations if they're going to be part of the big day - but what's on their wedding gift list?
FANS of the royals are well and truly excited for May 19, when Prince Harry ties the knot to Meghan Markle.
But if you weren't lucky enough to receive your invitation in the post, here's how to take a peek yourself.
What do the royal wedding invitations look like?
The invitations certainly look smart, and are printed on thick white card with a gold trim.
They are embossed with the details, including the dress code (morning coat or lounge suit, day dress with hat).
The guest list includes around 600 people with a personal relationship to the couple, 200 of which are invited to the evening reception.
Approximately 1,200 members of the public are also invited to greet the couple outside Windsor castle.
What gifts have Meghan and Harry asked for?
Instead of wedding presents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have asked for donations to charities.
The couple chose seven charities, and these include:
- CHIVA (Children's HIV Association) - supporting young people with HIV in the UK and Ireland
- Crisis - the national charity for homeless people
- The Myna Mahila Foundation - Mumbai based organisation to empower women offering education and employment
- Scotty's Little Soldiers - supports children who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces
- StreetGames - uses sport in disadvantaged communities to change young people's lives and encourage underrepresented groups to take part
- Surfers Against Sewage - national marine conservation body that protects oceans, beaches, and wildlife
- The Wilderness Foundation UK - protects the wilderness and enables young people to explore wild places in Southern Africa and Europe
Kensington Palace said: “The couple have chosen charities [that] represent a range of issues they are passionate about, including sport for social change, women’s empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness, HIV and the armed forces.
“Many of these are small charities, and the couple are pleased to be able to amplify and shine a light on their work.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton asked for donations to charities when they wed in 2011, and more than £1million was raised.
