MAYBE BABY

Did Prince William and Kate Middleton know their royal baby boy’s gender and did they find out for George and Charlotte?

FANS of the royals are overjoyed with the news of the birth of Kate Middleton’s third child, who is the fifth in line to the British throne.

The adorable new royal baby boy was born on April 23, 2018 and 11.01 am

Did Kate Middleton and Prince William know the baby’s gender?

A source reportedly told E! News: “William and Kate don't know the sex of the baby, so they're rather looking forward to finding out.

“It's very difficult to be totally prepared when you don't know if it's going to be a boy or a girl."

Ahead of the birth, bookies seemed to be placing odds on it being a girl, but by the time the child arrived as expected on April 23, it seemed to be pretty even.

However Prince William let slip the baby’s gender as Kate’s due date approached.

At a football match between William’s team Aston Villa and rivals Cardiff City, on April 12, Wills allegedly told fans "I’m going to insist the baby is called Jack" after Jack Grealish scored.

He quickly added: "Or Jackie."

Having had both a girl and boy, they must have a rather kitted-out nursery, and definitely, don't need to worry about hand-me-downs not suiting the future child - if the Royals even use them.

Did they find out for Prince George and Princess Charlotte?

According to tradition, royal parents do not find out the gender of their child until it is born.

However, Princess Diana was reportedly aware that she was having boys, so it apparently can be broken.

Even if they did know the sex of their baby, they wouldn’t be able to release it to the public because, according to tradition, the announcement of the birth, that includes the gender of the child and mother's well-being, is posted outside Buckingham Palace.
