This is how much Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are worth

NEXT month Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton will become sisters-in-law once the Suits star marries into the royal family.

Both women are the same age, 36, but have very different backgrounds, so who is worth the most?

Meghan of course acted in US TV drama Suits, starring in the role of sexy paralegal Rachel Zane.

While her career was starting out she worked as a freelance calligrapher, and when her acting work took off, she also did humanitarian work and ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig.

Meanwhile Kate met Prince William when she was studying Art History at St Andrews University.

After graduating she worked at her parents’ business Party Pieces, and worked as a part-time buyer for Jigsaw for six months. So which royal bride is worth more?

Meghan made approximately £36,920 for each episode of Suits and has an estimated net worth of around £3.7million ($5million), according to celebritynetworth.com.

She’s also starred in movies such as Horrible Bosses, Dysfunctional Friends, A Lot Like Love, and Remember Me.

Despite Meghan’s whopping personal fortune, Kate’s net worth is currently double the Suits star’s, at £7.3million.

Much of this wealth comes from her family's Party Pieces business, which is worth a cool £36.2million.

Although dubbed commoners, Kate’s parents Michael and Carole are self-made millionaires thanks to their business.

They live in a £6million mansion in Bucklebury and also own a flat in Chelsea, where their children have lived while in London.

Kate's wealth increased after joining the royal family, with her staff and wardrobe costs being paid for by Prince Charles’s private estate and the Duchy of Cornwall.

Her travel is often being paid for by hosting countries, so the majority of her fortune remains unspent.

While Kate's amount is large in comparison to Prince Harry’s fiancée, it is significantly less than her husband Prince William’s net worth of £29.6million.

Meanwhile Forbes has estimated the Queen’s private net worth at around £415million.

Real estate and land ownership all contribute towards the monarch’s fortune.

Her impressive property portfolio boasts both Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle.

It was previously revealed that Prince Harry is unlikely to share his fortune with Meghan Markle even after they’ve got married – because she’d be stung by American income tax.
