And the poignant choice of flowers has been revealed ahead of the special day.
What flowers has Meghan Markle chosen for her wedding?
The Suits actress, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, have chosen eye-catching arrangements that include white garden roses, foxgloves and, Meghan’s favourite flower, peonies.
Meghan has been vocal about her love of flowers in the past – and posted Instagram photos of a bouquet of pink and white peonies just after she started dating Prince Harry.
So great is her appreciation of all things floral, her mother even calls her "Flower".
The room will also be set off by branches of beech, birch and hornbeam.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the floral displays in St George's Chapel will be created using locally sourced foliage that is in season and naturally blooming in May.
A large amount of this will be taken from the gardens and parkland of The Crown Estate and Windsor Great Park.
After the wedding, the flowers will be given to charitable organisations.

How will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding flowers pay tribute to Princess Diana?
It is not clear what colour scheme the couple have chosen, but the designs will feature white garden roses in memory of Princess Diana.
The Sunken Garden where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their first photo call had been recently planted with white flowers to mark the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
White garden roses represent purity, innocence and in earlier days were used as a symbol of true love, before red became more popularly associated.
It was also revealed that Meghan's stunning three-stone engagement ring pays particular tribute to her fiancé’s late mum.
The two outside stones are diamonds from the personal collection of the late Princess of Wales.
