Massive earrings are back and here’s how you can get involved in the ‘Pat Butcher’ style revival
Oversized earrings are back and there are plenty on the high street for you to recreate the look
HUGE earrings have made a comeback and the designers are not holding back.
The likes of Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Dolce & Gabbana all featured shoulder-length ear adornments in their catwalk shows.
Tassels so long they are practically nipple-skimming, ghetto-fabulous hoops and eye-catching danglies all took centre stage in the accessories stakes at New York, Paris and Milan fashion weeks.
The statement jewellery showcased often came with blingy sparkles, like the pair of drop-downs rocked by Hailey Baldwin at the Zadig & Voltaire show during New York Fashion Week.
Kaia Gerber modeled some bold hoops for Isabel Marant in Paris while Saint Laurent kept the bling trend going with some extreme glittery drop earrings.
The striking jewellery trend harks back to the days of our one and only Pat Butcher - the EastEnders legend - who was also a fan of some oversized lobe action.
Pat was known for her brave earring choices with big colours and blingy shapes becoming her trademark.
If you fancy giving it a go, there are plenty of pocket-friendly options on the high street (or internet).
