Keira Knightley wears oddly mumsy dress for the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week
The Chanel Paris Fashion Week show is one of the most important dates of the year on the fashion calendar
WHEN thinking of the most glamorous designers, it’s hard not to think of French fashion house Chanel.
At the AW18 Paris Fashion Week show, there was a heap of A-listers in the front row to see the new designs – but the usually glam Keira Knightley opted for a slightly less exciting dress.
The Bend It Like Beckham star chose a mid-calf purple frock, with long sleeves and a fairly fussy print.
Her long brown hair was worn loosely down, and she paired the dress with some mustard coloured velvet heels.
Lara Stone also went for monochrome colours, and opted for a grey knitted dress with a black necklace and handbag, and black leather boots – although she may have been chilly, as she went for bare legs.
Lily Allen also attended the show, wearing a simple black T-shirt and pretty black bow in her pink and blonde pastel hair, letting her long sequinned skirt do the talking.
Singer-songwriter Vanessa Paradis kept warm in a simple black coat, which she layered over a waistcoat and jeans for an edgy look.
US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour was also spotted arriving to the show, and went for a very Chanel inspired look – a matching tweed suit, paired with her trademark dark sunglasses.
Singer Victoria Song also chose a tweed twin set, in a pretty blue pastel shade, and crystal handbag.
Similarly, model Yasmin Le Bon chose a chic tweed dress, with fishnet tights and a clutch bag.
The entire show was set in an autumnal woodland scene at the Grand Palais in Paris.
Models appeared to be walking through a forest surrounded by leaves, and the stars in the front row watched from wooden benches.
Karl Lagerfeld's designed coats that look impressively warm, and some bright blazers.
No Chanel show is complete without some tweed tailoring though, so there were some impressive jackets spotted too.
Now all we need is for the looks to filter down to the high street - and hopefully, they'll be slightly more wearable for the rest of us.
