Roger Vivier is perhaps best known for 'inventing' the stiletto heel in the 1950s.
Establishing his namesake brand in 1937, the late designer rose to prominence when he began creating footwear for couturier Christian Dior in the 1950s.
In his long-reigning prime, the cordwainer made shoes for the likes of Hollywood actresses and even queen Elizabeth II - she commissioned him to create a pair for her coronation in 1953. He even attended the crowning ceremony!
Today, the brand's designs still have the same fairy tale-inspired classicism that they did back then, with baroque buckles, crystal embellishments and lustrous satin fabrics.
No wonder it counts Cara Delevingne's sister Poppy, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel and Katie Holmes as fans.

Set on the brand's signature stiletto heel, they're made from lustrous black satin and embellished with a baguette-cut crystal buckle.
True Decadence's version, on the left, look exactly the same - the same buckle, same backless mule shape, same pointed toe - but they are made from baby-pink satin instead of black.
