BEING a royal child certainly has its perks, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are keen that Prince George and Princess Charlotte don’t grow up spoiled.
In fact, the famous parents have a tight grip on what their kids can and cannot play with, including banning certain items.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to want George and Charlotte to have an “unplugged” childhood, meaning iPads and electronic devices are banned at home.
A source told : “They’re very much seen as Mummy and Daddy’s toys, not for children.
“As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play and encouraging an active imagination.”
In December we reported how Prince George wasn't left disappointed by Santa this year after he found a toy police car in his stocking on Christmas morning.
His dad Prince William revealed there was "much excitement" when the four-year-old boy found out he had got what he wished for.
The future King hand-delivered Prince George's Christmas list to Father Christmas while on a visit to his home country of Finland.
The adorable young prince's letter appeared to ask for just one gift last year - a toy police car.
More on the royal family
While the royal family may be trying to keep the kids’ lives as normal as possible, life for Megan Markle may look a little different after she ties the knot with Prince Harry in May.
As the wedding day approaches, the former Suits star will be getting to grips with the strict rules that come with being a member of the royal family.
The actress has already deleted her Instagram account, but will also not be able to vote, go out in public alone, or take selfies.
