Weight Watchers is making a MASSIVE change to its diet programme

For decades people have proudly posed for before and after photos after shedding inches and pounds on the Weight Watchers plan

WEIGHT Watchers are making a huge change to their diet programme - they are ditching their iconic 'before and after' photos.

The iconic dieting club claims that it's decided to ditch the motivational shots as it wants to promote long term changes rather than short-term weightloss.

Officials from the brand made the announcement at a conference in the States last week.

Lauren Salazar said: "We've made the decision to lose the expression 'before and after' because our members' journeys are so much more about then than now.

"A journey of health, with no beginning, middle or end."

Weight Watchers' chief executive Mindy Grossman added: "We're not going to discourage a member who wants to show where they are today versus where they started.

"But when they're talking about their journey, it's more about the then and now and where am I going."

Other changes include offering free membership to teens in a bid to tackle childhood obesity.

The scheme will see youngsters set a target weight by their doctors, and it will be reviewed every six to nine months to make sure that they aren't losing weight too quickly.
