EGGCELLENT IDEA?

Couple posed with cardboard box of their EMBRYOS in pre-IVF photoshoot – before welcoming triplets

A COUPLE decided to take their family photoshoot to new extremes by posing with cardboard box of their EMBRYOS.

Samantha and Mickey Clark, from Portland, Oregon, jokingly posed with the precious package around the neighbourhood – before the embryos later gave them triplets.

The couple posed in a children's playground, at a McDonalds and with an abandoned pram they found.

They even took the embryos on a slide, on a swing and round a Christmas tree park during the bizarre photoshoot.

Just a few months later and they would go on to have triplets Shepherd Thomas, Eleni Lynn, and Ayla Sue from the very same embryos.

Full time mum Samantha, 29, and her husband of two years Mikey, 32, went through IVF to get pregnant, and had to transport their embryos to a new clinic after moving house.

So instead of getting them mailed via FedEx, the couple decided to pick them up themselves.

After being reassured that the tank was safe for at least two days the pair decided to make a few pit stops on their four-hour drive.

Shepherd, Eleni and Ayla were born in August last year and have just turned six months old.

Samantha said: "We moved across state and they were going to mail our embryos to a clinic closer to us.

“I had seen viral videos of drivers throwing packages over fences and decided that wasn't for us.

"So we went to collect them ourselves.

"We started talking about taking pictures with the box in the car. We were laughing so hard I had tears.

"We posted the first one online and then our friends and family started to comment giving us more ideas.

"We had no idea whether these embryos were going to be a success or a failure. We were just celebrating the fact we had six viable embryos.

"I look back now at those pictures and cannot believe I am now looking at my three babies.

"I am so glad we did it. It is mind-blowing that our three babies were in that box."
