The celebrity trend for wearing ‘guyliner’ make-up… and why women DO find it sexy
It's long been a beauty staple for women but, these days, eyeliner seems to be creeping into more and more male celebs' regimes - and some women think the look is a sign that the wearer is better in bed
COULD "guyliner" signal that the man wearing it is a better, more "sexual" lover?
It's long been a beauty staple for women but, these days, eyeliner seems to be creeping into more and more male celebs' regimes - and women are loving it, according to research.
Studies have found that us ladies are partial to a darkened eye - and some even believe that the look signals a man who is sensual or "experimental" in bed.
From Brooklyn Beckham to serial liner lover Russell Brand, it seems that eyeliner is the edgy trend that celebs can't leave alone.
Last weekend, Posh and Becks' first born stepped out wearing a darkly-lined look to celebrate the 21st birthday of his girlfriend Chloe Moretz - and looked pretty dashing after daring to define.
But Brooklyn certainly didn't pioneer the look.
Legends such as David Bowie and Kurt Cobain rocked the look decades ago.
But, it seems that women are going gaga for men in "guyliner" - with some saying they find a lined-eye more alluring.
, researchers at Princeton University had both men and women rate the attractiveness of different faces.
And, surprise, surprise, it was found that ladies love men with a "darker" look - including a five o'clock shadow, well-defined eyebrows and well-defined eyes.
In some of the highly rated faces, this included a generous slick of eyeliner.
Makeup artist Sarah from reiterated that liner can work wonders for attractiveness.
She told Sun Online: "When you use eyeliner, it instantly brings your focus to the eyes.
"It will also help to add definition and thickness to the lashes, another super sexy trait!""

Why do women fancy men in guyliner? Sex-pert Pam Spurr reveals all
The Sun’s Relationship Expert Dr Pam Spurr ( ) says…
"I’m not surprised Brooklyn Beckham stepped out with guyliner recently. He obviously has a flair for style and has experimented with different looks from skater-boy to man-about-town.
"But the positive reaction to his new look reaches deep into what women find attractive. And there are three key reasons why many secretly find men in eyeliner mega-hot."
SENSUALITY
"For starters, wearing guyliner hints at a man in touch with his sensual side. One of the biggest complaints in the bedroom is about men who ‘go at it’ without any flair. So women love a guy who looks like he’ll get sensual."
"Also a study revealed women found darkly defined features, like the eyes, highly attractive. This highlights how ‘smoky’, sensual eyes are suggestive of great things to come."
EXPERIMENTAL
"Also, despite guyliner having been around for ages – think photos of David Bowie from decades ago – it’s still seen as experimental.
"This plays into our subconscious - that a man in guyliner looks like he’ll get sex-perimental. It’s a big turn on, suggesting he has a sense of riskiness."
SENSITIVITY
"But guyliner also suggests a sensitive side. There’s something about a man in the smudged khol look that brings up feelings of emotion and romance.
"And most women want a man in touch with his emotions, who’ll be sensitive to their emotional needs.
"Brooklyn’s actress girlfriend Chloe Moretz, 21, undoubtedly finds it alluring, or should that be eye-lluring!"

has a vast selection of guyliner, that the website states is "a very stylish collection of eyeliners for men".
Prices start at £12 for a kohl pencil and liquid options are also available.
The site adds: "Sometimes called ‘guyliner’, men’s eyeliner can be used to frame and define the eyes.
"It’s also a lot easier than you would think to apply and can typically be mastered in two or three applications.
"Give your eyes a smoky smoldering look and captivate any audience with the subtle definition enhancements of one of these growingly popular men’s eye makeup products.
"Guyliner has been rocked by the likes of Pharrell Williams, Johnny Depp and Russell Brand in recent years, in magazines, on TV and on the red carpet itself."
