Plus-sized model shares stark contrast between airbrushed shot and untouched photo that proudly show ‘my cellulite, my back rolls and the little dimples on my butt’
THE Australian model shared a side by side image to show how different the two photos can be but insisted she felt 'beautiful' in both
A PLUS-size model has reminded her followers just how deceptive edited photos on Instagram can be.
La’Tecia Thoma – from Melbourne, Australia – uploaded a series of retouched photos next to unfiltered shots.
The 26-year old captioned the post: “What you see online or in the media isn’t always the complete truth.
"This is not about putting anyone on blast but...a reminder to not compare yourself to anyone else. In this instance I can’t even compare myself to myself.
“These photos were shot around the same time; one obviously retouched and the other not."
She added: “I think my big arms, my cellulite, my back rolls, the dimples on my butt look fine in the natural shot."
She then added: “I think both images are beautiful but be realistic with yourself, you don’t need to look a certain way to be appreciated and know that you’re worthy.”
La’Tecia often posts throwback photos of her slimmer frame, proudly revealing she’s happier to be plus-sized.
In one photo, the model poses in a sports bra – showcasing her ripped abs.
But in the caption, La’Tecia insists: “I was going through my phone and I found this old photo of me back when I was training to compete in a bikini competition.
“So many people will look at this photo and make physical comparisons and say they would prefer me 'before'.
"But I prefer me at any weight as long as I'm happy.”
This comes after a British plus-sized model slammed Tess Holliday for saying larger women shouldn’t describe themselves as curvy.
