Inside the glamorous world of Blue Ivy’s pals from Gwyneth’s teen daughter to Mariah Carey’s twins… and why North West is her frenemy
These are the lucky kids who get to hang out with Hollywood's mini diva
SHE was the star attraction at the Grammy’s this week, lives in a fabulous mansion, boasts a wardrobe of designer dresses and is friends with half of Hollywood’s A-list.
Parents Beyonce and Jay-Z fly her all over the world on the family’s private plane – a father’s day gift to her dad from her mum – emblazoned with S. Carter. And she owns a £50,000 Barbie doll encrusted with diamonds.
When not at the £95 million Hollywood home. the pint-sized princess also gets to split her time between a mansion in Malibu with four pools, a luxury apartment in New York and an £18.5 million mansion in the Hamptons.
But which lucky kids get to share in the tot’s lavish lifestyle? Not surprisingly, most of her BFFs have pretty famous parents of their own.
Here’s the lowdown on the special friends that make up Blue Ivy’s inner circle – and the one who was frozen out.
Apple Martin
The daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin may be 13, but she is used to hanging out with six-year-old Blue Ivy.
Apple’s A-list parents, who are both worth millions in their own right, split in 2014 but are still close and even spend family holidays together.
Apple and brother Moses divide their Gwyn’s £4million Santa Barbara mansion and the Coldplay singer’s homes in London and New York.
Beyonce and Iron Man star Gwyn are old pals and Blue Ivy has featured in snaps from Apple’s last two birthdays, including a sleepover for her 12th, thrown at one of Gwyneth’s home.
Moroccan and Monroe Cannon
Mariah Carey’s twins Moroccan and Monroe have proved the perfect playmates for Blue Ivy.
Not only are they the same age – having turned six in May – their lifestyle is similar in every way.
With a pop diva as a mum, they share a life of private planes, designer clothes and expensive gifts.
The singer’s £10million Bel Air mansion is close to the Carters and the super-rich trio share frequent playdates.
Titan Jewell Weatherspoon
Although he’s only three, Kelly Rowland’s son Titan holds a special place in Blue Ivy’s heart.
Beyonce meets up for regular chats with her former Destiny’s Child bandmate -who is married to manager Tim Weatherspoon – and the kids have formed a special bond.
Kelly said: “They are extremely close. It’s the sweetest thing. It’s the greatest thing about friendship, when you’re able to grow up together and your children grow up together.
“They act like cousins.”
Madison Brown
At this year’s Grammy Awards, Blue Ivy sat between her parents – who she famously gestured to calm down when they got over-excited.
But last year, she brought along her supercute BFF Madison Brown.
Little Madison is the daughter of Jay Brown, president of Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation and she is one of the most frequent visitors to the Carter home.
North West
You might imagine that the children of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian would automatically be admitted to the Carter family circle.
Like Blue Ivy, North West lives a lavish life with a playhouse worth £100,000 and over 200 designer pieces in her wardrobe – many of which she’s never worn.
She wears Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs worth over £35,000 and, as a baby, she slept in a crib worth £2,800.
But, apparently, there’s only room for one mini diva in the Jay-Z mansion.
According to Kanye himself, five-year-old North West has never been granted a play date with Blue Ivy – and he is not happy about that.
In a rant at a Seattle concert, about Jay-Z’s battle with Apple and plans to set up rival streaming site Tidal, he revealed he blurted: “I can’t take this s***, bro! Our kids have never even played together.”
