Model claims her boyfriend dumped her ‘to apply for Love Island’… so is he a potential 2018 contestant?
A MODEL has claimed that she was dumped by her other half so that he could go on Love Island later this year.
Grace J Teal, 30, from Scunthorpe, alleges that her ex-boyfriend Benny James, known online as Beno Ldn, split with her as applications for the ITV2 show were announced.
Earlier this month, Grace says that she and Benny parted ways and she now blames the break-up on his “desire to be famous”.
She claims: "He applied for it (Love Island) last year and he used to talk about it when we were together, saying if he was single he would go on it.
"Everything was fine between us, but then Love Island applications came out.
"He'll definitely try and get on that or Big Brother because he's fame hungry."
A spokesperson for the model also revealed she might not stay single for long, saying: "Since her recent split she had been seen at a number of celebrity events in London and Manchester.
"She's clearly moved on and was spotted having a laugh with one of TV's hottest eligible bachelors.”
However, Benny himself has a very different story and says that he broke up with Grace because the relationship met a natural end.
He told Sun Online: “I ended the relationship because she wasn’t the women I fell in love with.
“I had great times with her and her little man, I made a lot of changes and appreciate everything she done for me, I went in the wrong direction about ending the relationship but I’ve not said a bad word about her.
“I wasn’t happy for a while and was only holding on because of the bond I had with her son and I was feeling bad, but I couldn’t do that as he is not my kid at the end of the day and has a dad he sees all the time.
“I wasn’t happy I couldn’t be with someone that I didn’t know.”
