GO for bold colours and funky styling to wow your friends with your make-up on a night out.
We reveal tips and products on the high street to help you feel fabulous this February.
Red-faced
If you’re opting for a bold colour like this, you need to stick to graphic shapes on eyes because a wash all over your lids will enhance natural redness, making your peepers look tired and your skin sallow.
Go for a high-pigment liquid texture such as , £5.50.
Build up the shape gradually, as red can be hard to remove if you make any mistakes.
Start with the flick, then work from the middle outwards and finish at the inner corners.
Just make sure you remove any excess product from the nib each time to avoid clumps. For lips, a pillar-box red like
Lipstick in Love Bite, £24, completes this mono look.
Purple haze
Contouring is so 2017; now it’s all about the highlight and unicorn gleam.
Purple is tricky on eyes as it can make skin look grey, so wear it high on your cheekbones for a magical finish.
Dust , £21, on to the tops of your cheeks and up to your temples with a wide wand-style brush – try , £4.99.
Keep the rest of your skin bare, as blush or bronzer will work against this shade.
A pinky-lilac like , £13, on your pout will tie it all together.
Pink lady
If worn correctly, pink can really make eyes pop. Just avoid wearing it too close to the centre of your face as it will dull the whites of your eyes, making you look tired.
Instead, apply to outer corners, which will open the eyes and disguise any dark circles as pink counteracts the greyness in skin.
Use a touch of , £13.50, with a large eyeshadow blending brush, taking it from the midsection of your lid outwards toward the temple.
A swipe of Glossier , £14, across your pout will give this matchy-matchy style a chic finish.
Ooh-La-La Orange
Wake up a dull complexion with a sweep of orange all over your lids, ensuring you go into the inner corners and under the lower lashes.
Choose a warm hue with a slight shimmer like , £13.50, as it suits every eye colour.
For lips, pick a red-based orange to soften the look, as a cold neon shade will be too harsh against the warmer eyes.
We love , £21.
Avoid pinky blush on your cheeks and instead apply a creamy brown blusher like , £25, to the tops of your cheekbones with your fingers.
