Six Greggs sausage rolls and ONE Domino’s pizza… this is what 2,000 calories looks like at your favourite fast food chains
It's easy to eat a day's worth of food at McDonald's, KFC and Nando's without even realising it
TUCKING in to a cheeky Nando’s may actually be a lot naughtier than you think.
Cosmopolitan has revealed what 2,000 calories – the daily recommended allowance for women – looks like at your favourite fast food chains. And, it’s pretty shocking.
A three-course meal at Nando’s that features a hummus and pitta bread starter, half a medium chicken, Peri-salted chips, Macho peas and a chocolate frozen yoghurt for pudding will set you back 2,076 calories.
In other outlets, to eat a day's worth of food you need to order a lot less.
A Domino’s large American hot pizza, which is topped with pepperoni, red onion and jalapenos, comes in at 2,090 calories.
In order to cut back on the calories, Domino's said: "We know it’s perfectly possible to include pizza in a balanced diet. So, we’ve developed an online pizza planner which shows our customers how three slices of Domino’s pizzas can fit into a nutritionally balanced menu.
“One serving of the dip, plus three slices of our new American Hot, which is less than 210 calories per slice, is a total of just under 770 calories."
Meanwhile, at Greggs you’d have to eat six sausage rolls and wash it down with one sparkling Florida orange drink to total 1,972 calories.
KFC fans need to be aware of how quickly the calories can tot up during a hungover chicken bucket binge.
A Fillet Burger meal served with a Toasted Twister Wrap, Original Recipe Salad Pot and three hot wings adds up to 1,860 calories.
