In a statement released on Monday, the couple said: “We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship.”

Iron Man star Gwynnie, 48, met Glee creator Brad, 45, on the set of the musical drama in 2014, shortly after she famously “consciously uncoupled” from Coldplay husband Chris Martin in March of that year.

She chose to reveal her engagement in the second hard copy issue of Goop, the lifestyle brand she founded in 2008.

Alongside a photograph of herself displaying her engagement ring, featuring a huge circular gemstone, Gwyneth explained why she had decided to get married for a second time.

Gwyneth Paltrow, 48, and Glee creator Brad, 45, said that their ‘collective success and failures’ are the foundation of their successful relationship

She said: “I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.”

Gwyneth and Martin finalised their divorce in 2016 after 13 years of marriage.
