Who is Tim Marlow?
Tim is an art historian, writer and broadcaster – who was born in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, in 1963 and grew up in Chesterfield.
He was privately educated at the posh boys’ school, called Denstone College, in Staffordshire – before going onto the Cortauld Institute Of Art, where he got a Master’s degree.
Tim is an avid Chelsea FC fan, who has a season ticket in the front row of the Matthew Harding Stand with his twin brother.
He is the artistic director at London’s Royal Academy of Arts (RA) and a visiting lecturer at the Winchester School Of Art.
Tim is married to TV producer Tanya Hudson, and the couple live together in East London.
Where would I recognise Tim Marlow from?
Tim presented Radio 4’s Kaleidoscope for seven years (1991-98) and BBC’s Culture Shock for six (2002-08).
He’s best known for Channel 5 show Marlow On Style and new ITV series Great Art.
He also did a series called Marlow Meets, from 2009-10, and The Nude In Art, in 2010.
Tim is also an art commentator, who writes for the likes of The Times, The Guardian and Art Monthly.
He also founded Tate: The Art magazine.
