First sketches of Meghan Markle’s potential Inbal Dror wedding gown revealed
The three drawings have been obtained by American gossip website TMZ, and shared online
THE first sketches of Meghan Markle’s potential wedding gown have been revealed.
Inbal Dror, an Israeli fashion designer, has reportedly submitted her designs after an official request from Buckingham Palace. The three drawings have been obtained by and shared online.
The first sketch show a sexy, floor-sweeping gown, with puffed shoulders and a neckline slashed to the waist. The cleavage is covered with intricate lace, which peeks out at the neck, wrists and ankles.
The glamorous fishtail style hugs the curves, and flicks out to create a dramatic train. The outfit is completed with a wide brimmed hat and red lipstick.
Dror has signed the design: “For Meghan Markle, with love Inbal Dror”.
The second drawing appears to show the back of the dress, with lace adorning the back and elegant train.
The third picture shows an A-line design with a skirt that flows out from the hips. The top features long sleeves, a low-cut neckline and a frill detailing around the shoulders. The hat has been swapped for a tiara.
The Royal Family had asked Dror to provide a sketch of a potential dress, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Dror, who is famed for her sexy aesthetic, is a favourite amongst celebrities including Beyonce and Naomi Watts.
Her designs tend to retail between £6,000 to £8,000 – but it’s likely that Meghan’s would spiral into the tens if not hundreds of thousands.
Speaking to Elle magazine last year about her designs, Dror, who has been designing wedding dresses since 2014, said: “I think the bold style. It’s sexy, and I love to highlight a woman’s form.”
She added: “I loved the feeling it gave me seeing a bride’s face when she wore the most special dress of her life. It’s an honour and a thrill to design such an important dress.”
The Tel Aviv-based designer is renowned in fashion circles for her daring and sensual hand-woven outfits – some of which have necklines that plunge right down to the bride’s waist.
Other names in the running to create Megahn’s dress is Erdem Moralioglu, on odds of 10/3, according to bookmaker Betfair.
