Inside Tamara Ecclestone’s £5m wardrobe, featuring 22 Gucci mules, 81 sets of Victoria’s Secret pyjamas and a WALL of Chanel bags
TAMARA Ecclestone has given fans a sneak peek inside her designer-packed wardrobe, which is reportedly worth £5million – and that’s a conservative estimate.
The billionaire heiress, 33, opened the doors to her envy-inducing Kensington home to Marie Claire ahead of the release of her new ITVBe reality show, Tamara’s World.
Her closet boast an envy-inducing amount of clobber, including 22 Gucci mules, 81 sets of Victoria’s Secret pyjamas, 72 pairs of designer sunglasses and 57 Melissa Odabash bikinis.
Tamara also has a wall dedicated to Chanel handbags, and 37 pairs of espadrilles by the French fashion house.
The eldest daughter of Bernie Ecclestone, the former chief executive of Formula One, has shared photos of every girl’s dream wardrobe.
Tamara revealed the closet, situated in the lavish £70million London home she shares with her husband of four years, Jay Rutland and their three-year-old daughter Sophia, is spread across two rooms.
“It’s not small!” she told the fashion magazine. “One for spring and summer, and the other one for autumn/winter.
“I’m meticulous about it being super organised. I have pretty bad OCD, so I need to know exactly where everything is.”
Tamara says her “party days are well and truly over” since becoming a mum, and her staples now include “leggings, sweaters, bombers and trainers”.
One incredible snap, taken by her stylist Lucy Packham, shows six shelves of Chanel espadrilles, in varying hues, from white to pink, turquoise to navy.
Tamara revealed it was easy to build up her immaculate collection because Jay “buys me a pair for every birthday or Valentine’s Day”.
She also has 22 pairs of Gucci mules, in rhinestone and fur patterns, as she “loves to wear fun and comfortable flats at all times”.
Another snap shows a chest of drawers packed full of 81 sets of pink Victoria’s Secret pyjamas, because she “cannot be dressed up at home in any way”.
Tamara cites Melissa Odabash as her favourite swimwear designer – collecting a staggering 57 of the brand’s bikinis – because she “designs for real women”.
And, says her 72 pairs of designer sunnies, with everything from aviator to mirrored designs, “cover a multitude of sins”.
No wardrobe is complete without a sensational handbag collection and for Tamara she has room for 95 clutch bags – 47 from Chanel, 15 by Edie Parker, and 33 from Jimmy Choo.
Tamara also has 75 floral dresses, by brands including Zimmerman and Free People, which are prefect for “when I go on holiday”.
During a chat with InStyle, Tamara revealed that she has so many items she often forgets what she owns.
“It’s so fun finding things,” she said. “It’s like finding money in a purse you forgot about. It’s great.”
Despite her vast wealth, Tamara revealed she loves a bargain and will happily shop at Costco for cut-price buys.
She told the : “My dad is the biggest lover of a deal, or a sale, in life, ever. Somehow it has been passed down by genetics…
“Yes, I like nice things, but if there is a way to save money or have a deal — my father will always say: ‘Look for the deal, ask for a discount, you will always get it, don’t just pay the first price’.
“I do go to Costco and if there is money to be saved, why wouldn’t you? It doesn’t matter how much you have, if you can pay less for something, then you should.”
Tamara and Jay bought their Kensington home for £45million back in 2011, but it is believed to have doubled in value.
She flung open the doors to her lavish pad for her new reality programme.
It boasts 50 staff, a gold bath and luxury toys for Sophia.
