Former prostitute reveals what REALLY goes on in her day from dusk until dawn (and it’s not all kink and spanking)
Miranda Kane, 36, from London worked as a BBW (big, beautiful women) sex worker for seven years, and started working in the industry when she was 23 years old
A FORMER sex worker has lifted the lid on EXACTLY what happens in the day of a prostitute from dawn until dusk – and it may surprise you.
While there can be multiple partners a day and the potential to earn your month’s rent in a single appointment, hoovering and admin play a big part behind the scenes.
, 36, from London worked as a BBW (big, beautiful women) sex worker for seven years, and started working in the industry when she was 23 years old.
She revealed that she had two types of appointments, guys who paid a few hundred per hour, or more for a few hours, and clients who booked a full 12-hour overnight slot for £2,000.
Miranda said to the Sun Online: “Overnight ones are more of a special occasion; you are more likely to do an hour or a couple of hours.
“I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t someone that I knew, because there are times when you just think ‘I’m going to have to go out for a poo and want a bit of a fart.’
“For me the reality is at some point I just want to take off my bra and watch Netflix. I need to charge my phone and check my emails, it isn’t always the romance that you want.”
Her typical day began at 10am and she would immediately start vetting messages left from guys calling her overnight.
She said: “You’d start off the day with the timewasters, people who have sent you a text at 3am in the morning when they’ve had a bit too much to drink.
“You get phone calls from people who are either trying to get you to describe what you are wearing and what services you want to do.
“You get the types who ring up like ‘I’ve got a 12-inch c*ck, what are you going to do about it?’ ‘Nothing until you pay me’”.
Next on the agenda is what Miranda described as “boring admin”, which was basically getting her flat in tip-top condition for her clients.
She said: “You have to make sure the house in tidy, some women go to separate working flat.
“So that might have been used by another girl the night before, so you need to tidy up after them.
“Hoovering, washing the sheets and then making sure you are all spruced up with cleaning, leg shaving, eyebrows plucked, hair straightened, make-up on, all that boring crap.”
Next she had to make sure that there were clean towels and shower gel available for the guys, as she always required them to wash prior to sex.
And then she had to replenish the supplies of condoms (which are a non-negotiable), wet wipes and tissues.
Before her first client at around 1pm, she also needed to fiddle with her website and market herself to set herself apart from the 5,000 or so other BBW escorts vying for clients.
Miranda, who worked as an independent sex worker, said: “I think a lot of women who get into the industry think it’s going to be like is that they can put up an anonymous profile and say that they are 23 and slender and they have a PhD and then they can charge £5,000 a night and they don’t have to show their face.
“But the reality it is more of a slog than that. You have to market yourself. It’s all about what gets you high in Google – that’s one of the big skills of it nowadays.”
Finally after lunch, she would see her first client.
She said: “They are only in your bedroom for an hour and then they f**k off and you’ve got your rent by the end of the day.
“You have some fun with them until you are back on the old cleaning, hoovering and washing the towels again.
“For me, I’d do a lot of domination, so if they are just tied to the bed, it’s fine, but sometimes you’ve got baby oil going all over the place so the sheets definitely need to be changed.”
Her next session would typically take place after work at 6pm, and then she’ll switch off her phone in the evening and have fun with friends.
Miranda confessed: “There’s not really a typical day, people have an opinion that it’s an assembly line when you try and squeeze them in one after the one other.
“I was ok with just one person a day at times, but some people would like to see more. If you go on tour, that’s when you see as many people as possible."
While her routine may include more admin and “mundane” tasks that you’d imagine, some of her sexual experiences have less “vanilla”.
One of her most unusual requests was from a guy who wanted to be a “money slave” and for the sex worker to blackmail him for money.
You get the types who ring up like ‘I’ve got a 12-inch c*ck, what are you going to do about it?’ ‘Nothing until you pay me’.

She revealed: “One guy he ran a big company and he wanted me to take pictures of him in panties and fishnets and with a butt plug inside him.
"I was supposed to keep these pics and blackmail him and say if he didn’t give him like a month’s stipend that ‘I will send all these to your friends and family.’
"I never knew how far I could push it. I got quite uncomfortable about it.
“I was just a bit too nice about it. There I was saying ‘I just need some cat food is that alright?’
“I did it a couple of months with him and then I got really uncomfortable as I didn’t know if I was going to push it too far. I don’t think he was getting what he wanted out of it and I was a bit, but I just couldn’t carry on as I didn’t have the balls.”
Some of her most unpleasant clients, she claimed, were born-again Christians.
She said: “They would go through with the appointment quite happily and pay me, not a problem, and then have to tell me that God was going to save me and had a better plan for me.
“It’s not uncomfortable, it’s just that hypocrisy. They are coming to see women but because they feel guilty about it, they have to put that guilt on us.
"We are quite happy because we’ve just been paid to have sex."
A lot of her work was with domination and fetish, and she would clearly define what she did and didn’t do prior to accepting a client.
However, there were still times when she was caught off guard by something a man did.
She said: “Another guy just wanted to take me shopping and go up Oxford Street.
“I was standing there in Selfridges and he decides to call out in the perfume section that he wanted me to take the butt plug out of his arse.
“For him that was the thrill. He wanted people to know that he was being made to be a sub. It didn’t matter to him and it shouldn’t have mattered to me, but in that moment I was mortified.”
The former call centre worker confessed that she got into the game after being fed up of guys using her for sex but “not wanted to actually date a fat girl”.
So one day she sat down and created a website, put some pictures up and added her phone number.
Within hours she had had her first call and set off her first £500 job at a luxury hotel.

Speaking of her first night on the job, she said:“I was really nervous. I didn’t know what he was going to be like, but I had asked beforehand what kind of things he was interested in. It was just straightforward sex so I thought why not.
“The guys I was dating just expected like they could lie down and I’d service them like a Henry Hoover or something like I would be grateful to speak to them as a fat girl.
“This guy worshipped me and was all over my body and was loving it and I thought this would be a great way to make cash."
When she started out, business boomed due to her being new on “the scene”.
She confessed: “The first year you get more people coming because you are shiny and new and in the last year.
“There was only like 12 big escorts in the whole of the UK so we served a niche market.
“When I left I think there was about 5,000 people on listing sites saying they were plus size. That’s 12 to 5,000 in seven years.
“Too many people were doing it and guys wanted a lot more for a lot less and I discovered I could do comedy.”
Now she has quit the industry and written an about her experiences and does comedy to try and dispel myths on the industry.
She said: "I wanted to get out there and humanise sex workers. This is what sex workers look like. They aren’t a victim or a drug addict or a statuesque model.
“Sex workers look like everyone else. They look like you and me looking for toilet roll in Tesco.
“It’s not a seedy world, we should be able to work in safety.
“We should be two consensual adults taking part of a financial transaction. I wanted to get involved in sex worker rights and I knew I could be funny. Humour and comedy relates to people more.”
