Lidl are launching the first ever TWO-YEAR matured Christmas pudding… and the posh treat hits stores tomorrow
The Deluxe 24 Month Matured Christmas Pudding claims to offer the 'ultimate taste experience' and features specially sourced ingredients that the brand say have been left to infuse over the past 24 months
LIDL are launching a two-year matured Christmas pudding.
The store will tomorrow become the "world’s first retailer" to sell a Christmas pudding that has been matured for 24 months - apparently a very long time when it comes to Xmas puds.
The Deluxe 24 Month Matured Christmas Pudding claims to offer the “ultimate taste experience” and features "specially sourced ingredients" that the brand say have been left to infuse over the past TWO years - who knew creating festive treats could take so long?
The toddler-aged pudding's recipe includes Turkish raisins and sultanas, Greek Vostizza currants, Chilean flame raisins, glacé cherries, whole almonds, pecans and walnuts – all generously infused with Amontillado Sherry from Montilla in Spain, French brandy, Guyanese Caribbean Rum and Courvoisier VS Cognac.
The festive treat, which Lidl say has been produced for them by one of the world’s oldest Christmas pudding makers, will cost a purse-friendly £11.99 and be available from all Lidl stores across England, Scotland and Wales from tomorrow.
Lets hope that good things (or puddings) do come to those who wait - and it isn't a case of "terrible twos"...
