A top US plastic surgeon has revealed his top nip and tuck trends for 2018… and Kim Kardashian-style bums are OUT
AS the star of Atlanta Plastic, Dr. Wright Jones knows a thing or two about nip tuck trends - and he claims oversized bums like Kim Kardashian's are on the way OUT.
Wright stars on the cult Lifetime reality show with fellow surgeons Dr. Marcus Crawford and Dr. Aisha McKnight-Baron, but it's his technical ability with 3d lipo sculpting that has made him a hit with men and women looking to transform their silhouette - including Brits.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, the in demand doctor revealed that while the big bum trend isn't over just yet, it is certainly being downsized - and so are BOOBS.
He said: "According to our Aesthetics Society, 2016 the number 1 procedure was liposuction followed by breast augmentation then tummy tucks, eye lifts and butt surgery.
"The trend we are seeing in the US is that people are downsizing the size of their breasts, as it also makes them look bigger and their clothes don't fit as well.
"Now the look is a more curvy, sleeker, sexier look - most patients come to us asking them to give them a figure like Beyonce's.
"Hollywood is full of trends, and a big one is the Brazilian butt lift where we transfer fat in to the buttocks.
"Over the past few years, the trend has shifted, it started out as everyone wanted a big butt.
"But now the trend is for the fat transfer to just look natural, just so it fits better in their clothes and fills them out - and that's what I'm known for, this natural look."
Wright is one of the most respected surgeons in the States, and not only because of his part-time job starring on a reality TV show.
He's famed for his skill with 3D lipo, which sees patients fat shaped in to sexier lines, and men given six packs.
The dad-of-two added: "We are seeing more and more men every year, and the number one request from them is liposuction.
"It's not only me they are asking for it, it's across the US.
"With HD liposuction I can give men a subtle six pack. Some of my clients are bodybuilders, and they just want a little bit more definition.
"It might be cheating but they love it.
"There are some body types that no matter how much you work out, and you can get smaller and smaller, skinnier and skinnier, you'll never have the same definition as someone who is blessed with a more muscular abdomen."
Sadly for Dr. Wright, for every patient he can transform, there are some he simply can't help.
He takes his responsibility to be honest and transparent with his patients very seriously, and sometimes that means telling them that he can't operate on them.
"I turn people down every day," he said. "You can never make someone look exactly like another person, but there are certain procedures we can follow to give them specific features.
"The number one reason is that we don't agree in terms of expectations. They want to look like someone but I can't make them look like that.
"Yesterday a patient was showing me pictures of different models and Halle Berry, and she was obese.
"She didn't work out or exercise, but she wanted the body. I had to tell her no."
Patients come from far and wide to see Dr. Wright, and a scroll through his Instagram shows some incredible transformations - and gruesome photos of him holding flaps of cut off skin.
While some of the photos of his work might seem extreme and rather stomach churning, they're all in a day's work for the likeable medic, who grew up near Atlanta in his home state of Georgia.
He said: "The ultimate goal for myself as well as my promise is not just to be honest, but to deliver a quality result to patients and a quality experience.
"They travel from a long distance, we want it to be worth the time and effort for them.
"When I spoke to one of patients from London, they said they came to me as they can trust me. They know that I am going to be honest and not just try and get their money.
"I had a patient fly over from Afghanistan who had heard about me, and they wanted a tummy tuck, a Brazilian butt lift and 360 liposuction.
"That is a lot of surgery, and there's not a lot of surgeons who are willing to do that much surgery all at once.
"But this is a surgery I do every single week, it takes me four-and-a-half to five hours."
He added that he refuses to operate on close family members, but luckily he's always able to recommend someone as skilled as him - or even more expert.
Thankfully for those of us who have champagne dreams on a lemonade budget, Dr. Wright is sure that in the not too distant future plastic surgery will be no more expensive than a big night out, predicting that the price will drop "as popularity continues to increase."
He added: "In the future we will all be having plastic surgery as if it was nothing," he said.
"It's not a question of what, it's a question of when will they have it."
