eBay boffins claim 2017’s top Halloween costume will be Harley Quinn… just like last year

LOCK up your baseball bats, it seems there will be more Harley Quinns out on the streets this Halloween than ever before... well since last year.
The boffins at eBay have done some number crunching as part of their annual UK Retail Report, and they reckon that the Suicide Squad character is going to be Brits' preferred costume this October 31st.
An insider told The Sun Online: "Brits have begun preparing for Halloween in a big way, with 170 Halloween products and costumes sold per hour in the past week, a near three fold rise on the week before.
"Harley was the marketplace’s number 1 Halloween outfit last year – and this year looks to be no different.
"There were 4,032,868 searches for her on over 2016/17."
With her dip dyed bunchies and Daddy's Little Monster T-shirt - plus sexy hotpants and ripped fishnet tights - it's no surprise adventurous Brits are eager to unleash their inner bad girl.
The eBay insider added: "It’s testament to the success of DC Entertainment that people are so captivated by the characters - but it’s also interesting that people are rooting for a villainous character - gone is the Elsa from Frozen trend.
"This year Harley Quinn costumes trended on eBay in the UK on 4th October – suggesting Halloween planners are again turning to her for inspiration. ‘Daddy’s Lil Monster’ indeed…"
Last year Holly Willoughby showed fans her naughty side when she dressed up as the Joker's girlfriend for her own Halloween fun.
