Cry me a glitter

Glitter TEARS is the latest make-up trend to sweep Instagram… so would YOU try it?

No body parts are being left out in the glitter trend this year

HALLOWEEN is fast approaching and we predict that this daring makeup will be a popular look this year.

As the glitter boobs craze fizzles out along with summer, beauty addicts are now placing the sparkles beneath their eyes.

The dramatic look has been springing up on social media over the past few weeks.

After trying out the trend for themselves, many Instagrammers have joked that they "cry glitter" instead of tears.

Replicating the look couldn't be easier, as all you need are some sparkles.

Using an adhesive that is safe for the face, including eyelash glue or vaseline, attach the shimmering products beneath your lower lashline.

You can do this in a triangle design or in a weeping pattern that resembles falling tears.

Like with any makeup involving glitter around the sensitive areas of your body, it's important to ensure that the beauty items you use are eye-safe.

Even though the bold look clearly won't be to everyone's taste, Instagrammers have been getting a largely positive response to their glitter tears.

One social media user remarked: "This looks amazing, love it."

Another added: "Love the look."

Despite this, people makeup lovers have found a drawback to the sparkles.

One Twitter user said: "I love seeing glitter tears on other ppl but it looks horrible on me because the glitter just sinks into the wrinkles under my eyes.

Another added: "There I was thinking I couldn't possibly hate glitter anymore, and now glitter tears are becoming a thing."

2017 has definitely been the year of the sparkles.

We've seen the glitter butt trend, which saw women dousing their nether regions in tons of sparkles.

And some have even dared to coat their tongues in shimmery products.

While it all may seem like a bit of fun, doctors have warned against some of the trends.

A top doc advised women to stop glitter bombing their vaginas... as it raises STI risk.
