JEREMY Kyle has been accused of spitting at a "disgusting" guest on today's show, as the TV host slammed him for being "transphobic" towards his sister.

"Foul-mouthed" guest Matthew was being confronted by trans sister Sophie, who he repeatedly insisted on calling by her birth name Kyle.

Matthew told Sophie he was ashamed to be her younger brother - while she begged him to finally accept who she really is, and stop trying to "steal" her fiancee.

"We were really close," Sophie said, when speaking about her younger brother.

"He tried flirting with my partner a few days ago, asking if Crystal will dump me and go out with him because he's going to be better than me.

"It's basically destroyed me. I'm wanting him to accept me for who I am, and stop all the abuse."

On the daytime show, Sophie revealed her brother had left her a series of disgusting voicemails - including one where he said he hoped she died in her sleep.

While Matthew insisted his sister was going through a "phase", adding: "He's a disgrace to the family. I'm meant to be looking up for him. He's my big brother."

Matthew, who was arrested for hate crime against his sister, was asked if he loved Sophie - to which he replied: "Yep, but I don't love him like that."

In typical Jeremy Kyle Show fashion Matthew, who was labelled "Poundland Shia LaBeouf" by one bemused viewer, ended up storming off stage - but the drama only continued backstage.

And Jeremy was mid rant when Matthew piped up: "You don't have to spit at us".

The shocked host responded: "Well I feel a bit more passionately about this than you do. And I think you should accept and understand."

But Matthew responded: "Say it, don't spray it." At this point, his older sister chastised Matthew, saying: "Don't be cheeky."

But Jezza said: "That's just childish. He can be as cheeky as he wants, he's just a kid."

Sophie said: "We are here to try and sort this out. We either sort this out or you leave."

And Matthew hit back, saying: "Aye and he's spitting at us."

Matthew was also accused of trying to 'steal' Sophie's fiancee Crystal - but insisted his flirting was a 'joke'

At this point, Jeremy asked Sophie's fiancee Crystal to explain how Matthew had flirted with her.

She said: "The phone call the other day. Saying that he fancied us, saying that he thinks I was cute."

But Matthew quickly jibed: "That was a joke, that was a joke."

It was at this point that Matthew made a huge faux pas, by making a wife jibe at the divorced host.

"Have you got a girlfriend?" Jeremy, who split from ex-wife Carla Germaine in 2015 after 13 years of marriage, asked. "That surprises me."

And Matthew replied: "I'm surprised you have a wife, to be honest."

But Kyle quickly retorted: "I haven't. I did have", before telling Matthew he "won't have one either" when his girlfriend sees the show.

Happily, the show did move towards a resolution, with Matthew finally admitting: "I'm really sorry Sophie, I know that my past behaviour to you hasn't been appropriate.

"I would like to try and move forward from this."
