GETTING out of bed in the mornings can often be a struggle – but what if you could bring your snug duvet with you?
River Island has released a new puffer coat that looks remarkably like an oversized sleeping bag, and shoppers are absolutely baffled.
What is even more staggering about is that it costs a whopping £180 but that could be a small price to pay to save on heating in the winter.
The unusual coat/sleeping bag comes in two colours, pink and khaki, so you have options for whether you want to try to “blend in” or stand out from the crowd.
It features a padded fabric, zipped detachable blanket, cuffed sleeves, a funnel neck and a concealed zip front fastening.
While the River Island product may look bizarre, the concept of a sleeping bag coat was originally born for a good cause.
The non-profit which is based in Detroit, previously created a similar product that could help thousands forced to spend freezing nights on the streets.
They created a coat with special insulation materials that could also be converted into a shoulder bag, which costed $100 (£80).
What is even better about the project is that it hired single parents from homeless shelters to create the product.
But while the Empowerment Plan coat had a practical purpose, many fans have been shocked at the River Island creation, which looks strange for a fashion piece.
One user commented on Twitter: “Must be short of good designer.”
It's not the only bizarre beauty trend to cause a stir online.
Squiggly LIPS were recently the latest peculiar fad to raise eyebrows of Instagram users.
And would YOU wear detachable jeans? Bizarre denim jeans will set you back a staggering £330.
