Sophie, who posts under the handle of re-uploaded one of her previous fitness shots in a sports bra, but scribbled over the picture and wrote a new caption.

She had previously written “Nothing tastes as good as being fit”, but this time wrote: “Having a six pack and thigh gap doesn’t make you happy.

“Pizza and cookies are f***ing delicious.

“And I'm sick of women being told they have to be anything other than themselves to be happy.”

Sophie said she had been in the #fitspo industry for years, but she had enough of the idea of women feeling bad about their bodies.

She admitted her previous lifestyle had seen her become insecure and her posts were even “damaging” to many women.

She wrote on another post: “Everything I did revolved around those photos.

“I was constantly worrying about my body image because my "worth" through this channel depended on it.

“I understand that 's old images may have been inspiring. And, to that I say there are tons of those accounts you can follow for those images.

“But, I know those images were damaging for many.

“This is why I want you to f***ing love yourself.”

Since plummeting to 360,000 followers after changing direction of her page, she had since gone back up to 384,000 fans.

But even though her new honesty has gained her some new followers, she thinks it is sad that many people think her actions are “brave”.

Sophie confessed: “I'm called brave for being myself, for owning my truth and sharing the real side of my life through social media.

“How f***ing sad is that? It's sad because filtered photos are the norm when it comes to social media."

She isn't the only Instagram star to slam people posting an unhealthy image of their body online.

Earlier this year, curvy model Iskra Lawrence shared an inspirational video showing how her body can look lean and have rolls depending on her pose.

The curvy model has made no secret of her desire to change the public’s vision of what it means to be picture perfect and beautiful after years of fighting the industry "norm".
