New It flick features an incredible hidden nod to the original TV movie… but did you spot it?
HORROR flick It is terrifying viewers up and down the country and instilling a fear of clowns in an a new generation of kids.
The film, about a killer clown who preys on terrified children, is a remake of the 1990 miniseries based on the novel by Stephen King.
But this year's film adaptation, starring Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, clearly hasn't forgotten its creepy roots.
In fact, the cult movie features a brilliant nod to the original series - but it's so subtle you may have missed it.
When Richie, played by Finn Wolfhard, is trapped in Pennywise's house of horrors, he finds himself staring down a whole roomful of clowns.
However, one of the creepy clowns should look very familiar - since it looks just like Pennywise did in 1990 version of the film.
These shots show a red-haired clown which is clearly a Pennywise throwback, styled after Tim Curry's portrayal of sadistic It in the original TV series.
If you look to the left hand side of the screenshot below, you can see the Curry-style clown leering in the background.
And that's not the only shot where you can see the It Easter egg.
In the same scene, we get another look at the throwback clown, seen to the right of a terrified Richie.
