These celebrities look completely different when you make a mirror image of their face

Science would have you believe that the world's most beautiful people have perfectly symmetrical faces - but these pictures might make you disagree

FOR many of us, celebrities are more recognisable than members of our own families, but  with a bit of computer wizardry, it's easy to make them seem like strangers.

Despite their constant presence on TV and social media cementing their familiarity, it doesn't take much to make them seem like different people.

We're all used to Cheryl's dimples, Holly Willoughby's megawatt smile and Gemma Collins' bouffant hair... but if these assets are shifted slightly out of balance, our favourite stars no longer seem like 'them'.

Science claims that the most beautiful people have faces that are totally symmetrical, with boffins arguing that we are most attracted to people with equal features as it is a "biological advert for good genes".

And while it might seem like you have to be officially beautiful to be on TV, not all

A report in claimed "lopsidedness is thought to reflect how development in the womb has been derailed by general poor health, bad DNA, alcohol or tobacco use.

"Facial symmetry is also linked to agreeableness, extraversion and conscientiousness, so good looking people generally find it easier to make friends and hold down jobs."

However, having a perfectly symmetrical face is often more scary than jaw dropping, as these pictures prove...
