The secrets every Primark shopper needs to know when it comes to bagging the budget shop’s must-have items
THIS Primark-loving fashion blogger has revealed her top tips for bagging the budget store's must-have items, and you shouldn't be scared to ring ahead.
Primark has been sending shoppers into a frenzy recently, with products like its Chip mug and Harry Potter bunting selling out within days.
Now Londoner Ellie Adams, 24, of the , has revealed her top tips for beating the crowds and bagging the cult products.
She told Sun Online: "I have definitely called around some Primark stores before.
"I saw an amazing skirt on Instagram, and called five stores to hunt it down as I loved it so much.
"It's such a classic and looks amazing paired with everything - T-shirts, jumpers, shirts...
"I have actually asked stores to hold items back before - but it was a long time ago and could only be held for 12 hours."
She added: "My top tip for shopping in Primark is to head over to a store super early for when it just opens so it's tidy and empty. That's the absolute dream.
Ellie's top tips for bagging a bargain in Primark
- Ring round the stores to see what they have in stock
- Don't be afraid to ask them to hold stuff back (but they'll only do it for max 12 hours)
- Shop first thing in the morning, to beat the crowds and the mess
- Head to the Tottenham Court Road store on Oxford Street, London
- Keep an eye on Instagram, especially Primark's own page and fashion bloggers - and don't forget to ask which store they visited
"Tottenham Court Road is definitely my favourite store.
"It's one of the biggest, it's categorised really well so it's easier to find certain items - and it always has the latest and most popular pieces in store."
So what are her favourite items? Ellie said: "They do incredible underwear - gorgeous well fitted bralettes and great T-shirt bras. And amazing dresses.
"I don't wear a massive amount of Primark beauty but I have used the kohl liner for years and I couldn't recommend it enough.
"I love the eyeliner because it's so long lasting but is also really nice for smudging too and the actual product itself lasts forever so it's incredible value for money."
NO MEAN FEET These 8 pairs of high street shoes are a fraction of the price of the designer versions… so can YOU tell the difference?
Among Ellie's best buys are a pair of "Chloe Susanna-esque boots".
The designer version is priced at £850 , while Ellie's pair cost just £16 - making a huge £834 saving.
She added: "I can't get over them - they're so comfy and look much more expensive than they were."
Although Primark have a website, the budget nature of their operation means not all the items are listed on there - and you certainly can't buy online.
But social media could be the next best thing.
Ellie said: "I think Instagram is amazing for keeping up to date with Primark's must have items.
"I wear so much that I'm asked on nearly a daily basis where people can find whatever Primark piece I'm wearing, and I'll always let them know which store I got it from.
"So searching #primark is always really helpful for seeing what people are loving."
She added: "I am a massive fan of the Harry potter and Disney collections that Primark have released.
"I honestly think that it's genius as both HP and Disney are so popular - so it's amazing they're so accessible and affordable.
"I actually wore nearly all Primark Disney on a recent trip to Disneyland Florida and got so many questions about where I got everything."
