With just 1,000 followers, you could rake in more than £4k-a-year
WE'VE all heard of social media stars raking tens of thousands of pounds a year by posting on Instagram.
And, while we're not suggesting you quit your day job, ordinary Brits can also earn some extra dosh with sponsored posts.
So how does it work, and how many followers do you need to be classed as an 'influencer'?
How much can I earn?
There are dozens of sites out there who will do a lot of the hard work - by bringing the brands who could sponsor you posts to you.
More established social media stars and bloggers might be able to contact their favourite brands or hotels directly - and choose which posts they sponsor.
One of these firms working with us ordinary folk, , offers people between £40 and £2,000 per post - depending on their number of followers.
So, if you have at least 1,000 followers, you can earn £4,160-a-year by posting twice a week.
The company added that you only need 17,000 followers to earn a decent salary of £26,250-a-year, or £255 per post.
While those with 75,000 followers can rake in £1,380 per post with Takumi, adding up to £143,462-a-year.
How much do the bloggers earn?
The yogi can afford to charge more because her brand is so strong.
She created the #yogaeverydamnday hashtag, and attracts hundreds of people to her international workshops.
Trainer Lyzabeth Lopez, the founder of the Hourglass Workout, has 2m followers.
She earns between £2,300 and £3,900 per post - and anywhere between £15,400 and £77,300 for a full campaign. Not bad, eh?
Fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein, of We Wore What, previously told she earns between £3,800 and £11,500 for one sponsored post, arranged by Next Models.
At the time, she had 992,000 followers. Now she has 1.7 million, and has been named in Forbes' prestigious 30 Under 30 list.
Jack Morris, of the Do You Travel blog, he earns between £2,350-£7,050 per post.

While his girlfriend Lauren Bullen, whose Instagram page is called Gypsy Lust, has charged up to £5,870 in the past.
Jack has £2.7m followers and Lauren 1.9m.
